Taylor Kinney is back to NBC now! The Vampire Diaries said that Taylor Kinney is heading to Dick Wolf’s new NBC series Chicago Fire. The news was first reported by Deadline.

The TV series Chicago Fire follows the tale of the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department. Kinney, who also starred in NBC's Trauma, will play Squad Lieutenant Kelly Severide, who leads an elite group of firefighters who take on the most dangerous fire and rescue missions. As previously announced, Eamonn Walker will also star.
